Welcome to our club site
Swallows FTC was founded in 1979/80 at Swallows farm, West Sussex by Bill Kennedy, his wife and a few keen "gunners". At that time spring powered rifles were the "norm" with open sites and the occasional low powered scope.
Over the years the club grew and members entered into Field Target Competitions (mostly in the Southern region) and the club expanded and changed locations and disciplines to the current focus of Hunter Field Target. The club spent a number of years at the Swanborough fishing lakes near Kingston.
In late October 2016 the club moved to its current location at Broyle Park Farm, Laughton East Sussex where we gained access to dedicated woodland and a large field which is perfect for both plinking and competitions.
With our permanent plinking range ready to go for each meet, the large field is used to set up bespoke targets if required. Each meet day our "early arriver" members can set up the day's shoot with unique combinations of targets in the main field. This gives great variety to each shoot and members can set up targets as they wish to practice on a particular aspect if required.
We also have paper target boards to set up as members wish for scope zeroing or just practicing their "clustering".
On competition days we set up plinking targets in the main field for last minute practice and the competition targets are set up in the field and the woodland.
Please check the Find us page and Membership page for more information about the club.
